Debbie Herman
Debbie Herman is the author of Carla's Sandwich, illustrated by Sheila Bailey.
Debbie's writing ranges from fiction to textbook curricula. She is an editor in the
school division of McGraw Hill and has written animation scripts included in
Simon and Schuster's New Millennium Children's Encyclopedia and New
Millennium Children's Dictionary. Debbie had a story included in Chicken
Soup for the Kid's Soul. Her book, Eight Lights for Eight Nights, with
Barron's Educational Series was released in September 2003.
A former elementary school teacher with an M.A. in Special Education, Debbie
resides in Jerusalem, Israel, where she makes weird sandwiches of her own.
